The holidays bring everyone we love to mind, the people around the table and the ones we miss. Each candle in this collection comes with a little story about its ingredients and what they've meant to people for generations, along with one small offering for the week.
During Día de Muertos, marigolds are said to light the way home. This candle is for the ones who aren't physically with us but are still there in spirit, in the recipes we keep making and the stories we keep telling. From the Marigold Pumpkin
On Sunday, December 6 at 6PM CST, we'll gather online in Collective Live and light our candles together, for the people we love. During the lighting, you'll write the name of the person you're honoring. Can't make it? Share their name in the Collective, and we'll write it for you during the lighting. It will be recorded, so you can watch it anytime.
No, nothing ships. The Holiday Candle Collection™ is a digital, live, interactive recipe collection. You get the recipes and guides for every edible butter candle and a bonus, all made in your own kitchen, plus a digital keepsake cookbook by mid-December. The candles are made of butter and meant to be lit, then eaten with bread.
As you make each candle, you can tell us what worked, what didn't, and what you'd change. Every piece of feedback goes back into this living collection, so it's improved over time until the end of the season, and every change is included in your digital keepsake cookbook by mid-December.
Right after you pre-order, you'll get your private link. The full collection opens on Sunday, November 1, with every recipe ready that day.
Not at all. If you can soften butter and stir in a few ingredients, you can make every candle in this collection. Each one comes with simple steps and the exact supplies I use.
Mostly butter, a few fresh ingredients, food-safe wicks, and something simple to hold the candle, like a roasted pumpkin, a shot glass, a jar or a paper cup. A couple of candles use a silicone pinecone or Christmas tree mold. Every candle links to its exact supplies inside.
Yes. Every candle is made from naturally gluten-free ingredients (the bonus Herby Focaccia is not), so you can serve them with gluten-free bread, crackers or toast for dipping. If you have your own gluten-free bread or pancake recipe, it works with the butter candles too.
Yes. The first candle, the Marigold Pumpkin, is made with vegan butter so everyone at the table can enjoy it, and the recipe includes a simple swap for regular butter too. Make it whichever way works for your table.
Share the name of the person you're honoring in the Collective, and we'll write it for you during the lighting. The lighting will be recorded and posted in Collective Live, so you can watch it and light your candle with us anytime.
Yes. Check out with your own email, then pass your private link along to the person you're gifting it to.
